A few items to keep in mind:
The shortest answer choice that works is the most correct answer
When tested on single commas, pause at each comma and ask if the pause sounds natural
When tested on an appositive, if the appositive works then that is the correct answer
If you can create an appositive with an untested comma, then that is the correct
